I totally believe that exercise should be enjoyable and should be a way of life rather than a chore. I also believe that changes don't happen overnight so it is important to have long term goals. Everyone can do it....they just need to know how and why.
People often find that simply having a PT helps to motivate them, giving them structure and direction and of course encouragement. I really enjoy helping people in this way and I get huge pleasure from seeing my clients becoming fitter, healthier and happier!
I am an oncology nurse by background and I also have a degree in biology. I also love exercising and enjoy the positive effects it has on both my physical and my mental health.
I am qualified as a level 4 CanRehab Fitness Instructor and am really interested in how being physically active can have a beneficial effect both physically and mentally on people with a cancer diagnosis.
I can offer support to anyone who is looking to get more active, especially including anyone living with and beyond cancer.
Make exercise an essential and enjoyable part of your life. Involve your family and friends and find activities which suit you. Once you've done all of that everything else will simply fit into place!
You can then just enjoy being more physically active and reap the benefits from all of your hard work.
